In Hamburg’s Speicherstadt you’ll find two attractions for the whole family. The Hamburg Dungeon combines the excitement of ghost train, theatre and museum, giving a close up on Hamburg’s exciting history in a two-hour walk.

The world’s most comprehensive model railway, the Miniatur Wunderland is a fascinating display of true-to-detail reproductions of whole continents, comprising more than 700 trains, managed by 40 computers – an event not just for rainy days.

Given that these events tend to be crowded, especially at the weekend, we would recommend buying your ticket for both attractions at the hotel to avoid long queues.

Hagenbecks Tierpark
Hamburg does not have a zoo, it has Hagenbeck! This zoo first opened in 1907 and is the largest private open-air zoo in the world. It houses over 250 wild animals in natural surroundings, has a Delphinarium with dolphin shows and several restaurants and is truly one of the sights of Hamburg. The best way is to go by subway(U2) from leaving at Gänsemarkt.
