The musical Sister Act tells us the story of Deloris van Cartier – an ambitious but not very successful night club singer. Deloris has dreams of hitting the big time. But when she walks in on a "hit" of a different kind and gets witness of a murder, the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look - a convent! At first, Deloris - disguised as "Sister Mary Clarence" - has trouble adjusting to life under the strict rule of Mother Superior.

But when she transforms the convent's choir into the most glorious new musical act in town, Deloris forms a lasting bond with her newfound friends… and the gang that's chasing her finds itself up against an unstoppable team of soulful sisters! Co-producer of Sister Act was the famous actress Whoopie Goldberg herself. Alan Menken composed the sounds for the musical. Menken – who already won the treasured OSCAR 8 times – is also known for his numerous world-famous Disney movie songs.
