Recounting the tale of Simba, the king of the lions, Disney’s LION KING takes a new angle on the story of the eternal circle of life. It deals with fears and happiness, love and responsibility to others, with growing up and the search for one’s own place in the world. The young lion cub Simba grows up in the wonderfully multi-coloured world of Africa, where animals live together in peace in the domain of Mufasa, king of the lions. But the harmony is overshadowed by the jealousy and thirst for power of Scar, Mufasa’s brother.

Now a fully-grown, strong young lion, Simba becomes aware both of his past and of his rightful duty. Strengthened by being reunited with the love of his youth, Nala, and the wise shaman, Rafiki, Simba decides to face up to his responsibility.
