The hundred-year-old warehouse district, the world's largest contiguous warehouse complex with around 26 hectares, is located between Oberhafen and baumall. Built around the turn of the century in Wilhelminian brick Gothic style, it offers a peculiar idyll with countless gables and turrets.
Since July 2015, the Speicherstadt, together with the Kontorhausviertel including the Chilehaus, has been Germany's 40th UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The new landmark of Hamburg is not only an excellent location for concerts, but also a great vantage point with a view of the harbor and the Speicherstadt.
It houses a hotel, restaurants, the all-round plaza and the longest escalator in Western Europe. The 82 meter long "tube" takes visitors to the public plaza at a height of 37 meters in two and a half minutes.

When the barkers "Aale-Dieter", "Käse-Rudi" and "Wurst-Herby" deliver their show, not a single eye stays dry. They are cheeky and sometimes bold, but entertaining and above all, well worth seeing.
The world-famous jetties lie between the Niederhafen and the Hamburg fish market on the Elbe.

The main Protestant church Sankt Michaelis, affectionately called "Michel" by Hamburg residents. is the most famous church building in Hamburg and is considered the most important baroque church in northern Germany.
The spire measures 132 meters and the church was opened in 1912.

The Spitaler and Mönckebergstrasse are among the most popular shopping streets in Hamburg. Around Hamburger Hof, Hanseatic Quarter, Gänsemarkt, Neuer Wall or Große Bleichen you will not only find many shopping opportunities, there is also a lot to see in the attractive promenade.
