Our protective measures for your safety

Dear guests,we do our best to give you certainty and a good feeling during your visit to east Restaurant. We are working at full speed to implement and comply with the legal requirements and inform you here about the following protective measures:

As of June 1, 2021, restaurant patrons are required to present a negative Corona rapid test or a negative PCR test.
Fully vaccinated persons do not need a test, proof is provided by presenting their personal vaccination card.
Recovered persons do not need a negative test if they can prove that they have survived SARS-CoV-2.

Please note that the above-mentioned test conditions and certificates also apply to visiting our outdoor catering.


  • All east employees who come into contact with guests and food have been trained in advance as infection control assistants and wear mouth and nose protection during their work.
  • We ensure that there is a minimum distance of 1.50 m between tables and have adapted the seating arrangements in the restaurant accordingly.
  • Transparent glass partitions provide additional protection against infection.
  • All tables and chairs are disinfected after use. Dispensers with hand disinfectant are available in the restaurant.
  • Dishes, cutlery and glasses used are cleaned in industrial dishwashers at high temperatures after each use.
  • The ventilation system in the east restaurant constantly supplies you with fresh air from floor outlets and discharges the exhaust air through shafts in the ceiling. This prevents the formation of infectious aerosols in the room air. It is not a recirculating air system.
  • Door handles and knobs, handrails and buttons, and card devices are disinfected frequently and regularly.

A visit to the east -
Step by step

Step 1 -
Reserve your table

Please reserve a table before your visit to east by phone: +49 (0) 40 30 99 33, by e-mail at: or via the "book now" button on the website.Please note that you are currently only allowed to sit at a table with a maximum of ten people from different households.We also ask that you be sure to honor your reservation. Please let us know well in advance if you are unable to attend.

Step 2 -
Arriving at the restaurant

If possible, travel by your own car. The public parking garage at Simon-von-Utrecht-Strasse 31 offers parking subject to availability. Out of consideration for other guests and our staff, please enter the building only wearing mouth and nose protection and first register at the reception desk in the restaurant.

Please use the disinfectant dispensers provided and maintain a minimum distance of 1.50m from other guests and the staff.

In order to be able to trace any chains of infection, we are required by law to collect some of your personal data, which may be transmitted to the health department. Your data will be treated confidentially according to DSGVO and will be destroyed after four weeks.

Step 3 -
We guide you to your table

Wait at the reception until you are escorted to your seat by our host staff and take your wardrobe with you to your table. Free seating is unfortunately not possible at this time, we ask for your understanding.

Step 4 -
Service in the restaurant

Your service staff will bring a QR code to your table, which you can scan with your smartphone. This gives you contactless access to the menu and wine list. If you wish, you can also receive a printed menu, which will be disposed of after a single use. Feel free to ask your service representative for current daily specials, recommendations, etc.

We recommend that you wash your hands thoroughly before eating. Washrooms are available in the basement. A barrier-free washroom is located on the first floor. Please put on your mouth and nose protection when going to the washrooms.

Step 5 -
The order comes

Presenting, carving or preparing at the table, is unfortunately not possible at the moment. Items that are used by more than one person (salt and pepper shakers) may not be placed on the tables for hygienic reasons. If necessary, please ask your service staff.

Schritt 6 -
Tschüss and good night

Of course, you have the option of contactless payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Please refrain from payments with cash.When leaving the restaurant and the building, please wear your mouth and nose protection and ensure sufficient minimum distance to other guests and the service staff.
